5 out of 5 stars I LOVE this shower spray!   March 3, 2010
Northeast Hiker Nut
I bought this for my finished basement's full bathroom. I am doing oil rubbed bronze throughout and this faucet was a perfect fit...and a GREAT deal. The hose is super long and would easily work to bath dogs in the tub as well. I can't say enough good things about this shower faucet :)

4 out of 5 stars Hand held shower spray   February 8, 2010

My husband loved this gift. I am so glad I could find this polished brass hand held shower spray. Very difficult to find the polished brass at an affordable price but Amazon came thru.

1 out of 5 stars Cosmetically? good. Practicality? Bad.   January 19, 2010

I purchased one of these shower setups for our new house -- as all the other fixtures are Venetian Bronze, we wanted a matching handheld shower. Appearance was fine -- the Venetian Bronze finish is right. There is, as several other reviewers have said, a lot of plastic. The hose kept the curl from the packaging. I would assume that would go away as the weight of the hose helped straighten the hose.

Biggest complaint? Near-total LACK OF WATER PRESSURE. This sprayer had almost no force when being used. The other flow restrictors in my plumbing system have been removed, also, so that's not the issue.

Final Verdict? I returned the faucet. I'm looking for a near-match on the appearance that will allow us to adequately use the shower, that being the whole point...

3 out of 5 stars cheap hose   January 9, 2010

The shower head and handle look and feel very nice. I gave 3 stars because the hose to the shower head is made of very cheap black plastic, and it seriously detracts from the beauty of the shower head itself.

4 out of 5 stars Plastic mounting & flow restrictor that is a pain   December 17, 2009

I bought this one only because of the "brushed oil" finish that is throughout all of our new house. The price is reasonable and the hand shower is okay, maybe slightly above average. The only negatives that I can think of are:

1) Don't expect to be able to change the massage settings easily. We only use it on one setting (simply as a removable regular shower head so that my wife could wash herself), so this is not an issue for us, but be aware of this before you buy.

2) The construction is all plastic in spite of the metal-looking finish. I don't expect it to last very long. To be honest, I expected most of the product to be metal based on the pictures and the price.

3) In spite of what the manual says (that the flow restrictor is an integral part of the backflow prevention device that is integrated into the hose), the actual restrictor is in fact in the usual place, not inside the hose. The restrictor is right behind the particle screen inside the hand shower head itself if you look at the end of the handle where it attaches to the hose. So it can be modified (or removed) relatively easily with some tools if you are a handyman, you know what you are doing and what the consequences will be and if your wife complains that she cannot wash her hair with the standard low flow :-)

I will buy several more of these heads for the remaining bathrooms in our house.
