The shower introduces air into water and creates an airy spray. Yes it creates an airy spray. Installation is very simple. A little help from the internet and I did it. I stay in a rental house and the water used to literally drip from the shower. There was no pressure at all. Not that the water pressure was not good, I think the shower head was faulty. In any case I went to walmart and looked at some showerheads, and they all cost about $10-15. At $30 I felt it was a good deal and bought this. The good thing about this is you can use it as a regular shower head as well as a hand held. Its great for me.
Now lets take a look at some of the complaints in the other reviews:
WATER GETS COLD:
As some of the reviewers have noted, it does lower the water temperature a little. So if you get just about warm to little hot water, or you like to take shower in steaming hot water then this ones not for you. For us there was no significant change in temperature. As I like normal hot water.
NO CHANGE IN PRESSURE OR WATER SPRAY IS AIRY
Ok some of the reviewers said that the water has more air. Well the whole point of the shower is supposed to introduce more air into the water so that we have more oxygen dissolved in the water. It is supposed to be a spa. If you don't like taking bath with a spray of water, then again this is not for you. It increases the pressure by introducing air into the water. So the water comes out as a spray mixed with air.
NOT STURDY OR MADE OF PLASTIC
Well for the price I am paying, I expect nothing more. It has some sturdy parts but most of it is plastic. If you are looking for something more sturdy or something made entirely of metal, you gotta pay more. Trust me, I have looked every where. Online, outside. For this price this is the best you ll get, at least for a hand held.
Well as for longevity I have only used it for about 1 month so cant say much yet. Will surely update my review as and when I see any changes.

Over a few years I've put these handheld showerheads in half-a-dozen showers. (There's also a fixed-head model.)They perform exactly as promised. Great shower. The cheap model works just as well as the more expensive ones, but the costlier models have more flexible hoses. (You could buy a flexible hose as upgrade at a hardware store and save several dollars.) Make certain your water supply is free of particles; an on-line filter may be necessary, since the venturi can clog.
Excellent Handheld Shower February 25, 2010

I have two showers and both had WaterPic handhelds and I wanted to replace both with a brand that was attractive, lower water consumption, and with an excellent spray. Well, I was astonished when I took my first shower. This was an experience that was a pleasant surprise. I read the other reviews, but I was not prepared for the "hosing" I got when I turned on the water.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to shower and have control over the spray. It was very relaxing. It makes the morning shower something to look forward to get ready for the rest of the day.

First up this is a $30 shower head. So I took a chance on it and about a year later it works pretty darn well. It is quite loud but that is because of the air pull it uses to push the water. So far so good. I do wish someone would make a shower massager that really was a shower massager. I would be more willing to spend more $$ on that but in the meantime this one is good enough pressure to take a solid shower.

I received my chrome Oxygenic hand held shower head in 2 days! I installed in in 10 minutes. I appreciate the all in one package which includes the washers and water tape. The price is outstanding for the quality. It is made of the same material that my old Waterpik shower head is made of. The water spray is very invigorating. The only negative is for small size showers as the shower head extends quite a distance from the wall and one has to stand close to the opposite wall to gain the full effects of the shower when not usng the handheld feature.
