It's Okay February 2, 2010 WM (MN) First as people have stated the hose is only five feet. Not six as is advertised. As soon as I looked at it and noticed that it was one foot short. I almost sent it back. But I really needed a new shower faucet. I just used my old six foot hose with this new faucet. That worked just fine.
Next thing I noticed is the actual product is different in appearance from the one pictured here on 02/01/10. Different color and maybe the center of the dial is a bit different too. This appearance difference is of no concern for me. Just an observation.
My wife isn't happy with the water pressure. I'm okay with it. I will most likely follow reviewer J.J. Weiss' lead and remove the restrictor. I feel a bit guilty just thinking about doing it. But maybe I'll do it anyway. BTW JJ WEISS I really appreciate your very good review here.
I did loosen the collar a little and the head moves freely and stays put whatever direction I leave it at.
This five spray faucet head is more like a variable speed. As you turn the "dial" the spray changes gradually. I've never had one like this before. It's a nice feel.
Error in Description January 31, 2010 market maven (Horseheads, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I returned this item since the hose is only 5 feet long, not the six feet as noted in the description.
Genius reviewers here... January 6, 2010 jazzbanjo (Mid-Atlantic area) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Not one out of these 21 "reviewers" have had the intelligence and/or acumen to either inquire or actually measure flow rate (gallons per minute). This info is of great importance to me (and I'm sure to others - and should be for ALL), and it's conspicuously absent in the descriptions by the manufacturer or any vendor.
The prevailing everyday ignorance and stupidity is annoying; reading through 27 posts, to find the GPM info, out of which about 17 is utterly useless, is not an amusing experience.
A Pain In The Private Parts..... December 15, 2009 Brian L. Dusel (Louisville,Kentucky) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I replaced my old Delta shower with this model. This model doesn't come close to my old one.I have pretty good water pressure but that doesn't seem to matter with this shower head.It has a weak spray and the only way that I can make it stronger is to mix the massager with the normal spray. Then the spray is to strong for my face and privates.I'm guessing the back flow valve that is permanently attached in the shower head is restricting the water flow to some degree.I suppose I'll have to replace my shower head again,as this one is literally a pain in the butt.Otherwise it's okay, the hose is plenty long enough,it was a breeze to install and it looks nice.
Excellent choice for low pressure November 22, 2009 J. J. Weiss 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Our well pump produces low pressure, was looking for a new handheld shower, would be satisfied with decent plain shower pressure, massage functions of most simply don't work here. Unpack item, first good thing: solid brass insert in arm that screws to shower pipe, not plastic to metal. Second: ignore review that says angle of the bracket is not adjustable, it is by loosening plastic collar at other end (it's a typical ball in socket design). Third: unit's handle is smaller but I find that an advantage.
Most important: review is based on removal of the flow restrictor. This is easy to do: It's the green plug with a black rubber ring you can see inside the end of the actual spray head. It is just a press fit, if you cannot pull it straight out with needle nose pliers, punch a hole in it so you get a better grip...it will pull out.
Even with low pressure the massage functions work well here. Two minor annoyances: the trickle position is still a mild shower and the spray select has no markings or detents, you have to feel your way to each position.
