No more flooding (I hope) March 7, 2010 J. Burns (Ohio) The discharge line on our new dish washer started leaking for some unknown reason. Before we noticed it ,the water got under our laminate floor and we experienced some warpage. I installed the flood alert behind the dishwasher so if this happens we will have some warning. I tested the unit and it seems to sound an adaquate loud signal. Time will tell if this thing works. I hope I never have to find out by flooding again.
Already paid for itself. March 5, 2010 Fact Checker (Albany, NY) Very inexpensive insurance. Saved me from a minor crisis two days after I installed it. Alarm went off at midnight when the stupid flex hose compressed the sump pump float. Was able to stop what would have been a big mess. If you have a sump pump in your basement...BUY THIS!

Received this water alarm today, Placed sensor in bucket of water for a test with no results. tried to call company but, no answer. would not buy this again. a waste of $18.00 after shipping.
False Alarms December 16, 2009 Andy (ohio) Worked OK for a while (maybe 9-12 months) and now it has had three false alarms in about three weeks. Too sensetive to moisture in a sump pit. Now shopping for another brand....
Loud and easy to set up October 24, 2009 C. Wahlen (Utah) We have two alarms and this one is much louder and I like how the alarm can be positioned higher up on a wall.
