Amazon.com Product Description The DEWALT D24000 heavy-duty 1.5-horsepower 10-inch wet tile saw offers a huge cutting range with 24-inch rip and 18-inch diagonal capacity. It’s lightweight, at less than 70 pounds, and simple to transport in two easy trips. Innovatively designed with a cantilevered cutting cart, an integrated 45-degree and 22.5-degree bevel feature and a rail system attached to the saw frame, the D24000 is made to be more productive. The large, detachable water trays and adjustable water nozzle system provide exceptional water containment so that the saw can be setup inside a house with a minimal protection. Included with the saw is: cart extension; edge-guide; rear pan and cutting cart water attachments; 5 gallon ABS plastic water pan; 10 porcelain cutting blade, pump, and blade change; and rail adjustment wrenches.

Some major flaws February 2, 2010 REF (Virginia) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I looked at so many different saws my head spun for awhile. Decided on the DeWalt. I am not a tiler by trade. I do my own renovation work. I only used a small, inexpensive tile saw from Lowes, so I have nothing to compare this too. I've had the saw for a couple months. I got it to cut 24" tiles, and smaller sizes in this renovation. Thus far the saw is on its second blade and done a good job on 24" granite, 19" porcelain, 18" travertine, and 12" porcelain. The plunge feature is nice. I was able to cut outlet holes in the backsplash with it. Time consuming, but did a nice job. Ditto to the other things reviewers like about this saw. BUT, some incredibly foolish design flaws keep me from giving this five stars.
1. The saw doesn't throw much water, which is nice. I wrapped plastic sheeting around the saw and put some on the floor. The minimal spray was well contained. But, when I saw the floor soaked with water I wondered what was going on. A 24" tile sits about an inch and a half PAST the side tray. So water pouring onto the tile just runs off onto the floor. How did this get missed by designers? If that plastic tray was just 2" longer all water would just flow back into the main reservoir. I took some flashing and bent a piece and stuck it under the tiles to stop and catch the water. But this flaw seems ridiculous to me.
2. The second is the size of the table. It rolls nice, but for the 19" and 24" tiles the table is too small and the tiles tip forwards. The granite weighs 40 lbs. You really have to press hard on them to keep them flat on the table. Obviously greater stress is placed on the tile in the first 6+ inches of the cut. The table is also not big or wide enough for the 24" tiles and they tend to tip to the right, as well. The side extension should have been made larger to accommodate large tiles.
3. The fit of the cast aluminum blade housing began to rattle and make an enormous noise. I put some tape between the two halves and it subsided. The casting is not a great fit for the two parts.
4. The mitre fence could have been made larger. The manual says to never make a free hand cut. In some cases, on the diagonal, there is no other choice.
The tool is doing the job nicely. Came well packaged. Went together pretty easily and all. I put it on a piece of 3/4" plywood om a B&D Workmate. I did not purchase the stand. It's working out fine.
I noticed the price went up. Glad I got it when I did.
20' Tilework - no problems!! December 3, 2009 Jerome J. Manne (SoCal) Having never cut tile before, I researched reviews and purchased this D24000 mid-November. It arrived within 4 days and was shipped and packaged just right. Cutting 20" ceramic tiles was a breeze - the only thing we (my dad & I) noticed is to make sure the water streams are directed to the saw-blade instead of onto the tile. The tubes move so watch that part. I'm extremely happy with the performance of DeWalt's D24000 and cleanup is done within 10 minutes! I don't have the stand and I don't need it. Sitting on my little cooler, cutting is just fine.
Recommended investment for any do-it-yourselver to the semi-pro to?
Don't Believe the Advertised Delivery Date September 27, 2009 MARLOW 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
First, I must say that this is one great saw. I would not hesitate to recommend the saw to a DIYer or professional. The problem I had is with the promised delivery schedule. When I purchased this, AMAZON was promising 5 day delivery (we routinely receive items from AMAZON within 3 to 5 days). A few days after purchase, I was notified that this would be a 12 day delivery: this item is bulky/heavy, and is apparently shipped freight rather than routine UPS/FEDEX etc. If you need this item on a specific schedule, beware.
Great When it WORKS!!! October 6, 2008 David Rone (Idaho) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2SZDGH1L1TNLL We are now on the THIRD repair on this machine. We have used it in total three times. The blade wobbles after two or three cuts, the bearings go out everytime and they replace the part but that is time and money lost. I don't know how they need to solve the problem but I would wait until they have the bugs worked out first!! Sorry the video is sideways but you get the point!!
First Experiences July 21, 2008 Scott B. Vetter (Round Rock, Texas) I bought this tool when it first came out, and just started to use it over the weekend. The design is very well sorted out for a first effort from Dewalt. Kudos to their engineers. I have comments:
1) The clamping of the miter/stop block is a little weak. It tips.
2) The markings of the measurement tape are 1/4"! Also, I tried to "zero out" adjust this tape and it wouldn't budge with the torx screws loose. If this could be done from the factory with the included blade - full points.
3) Create a second depression (recess) around the drain plug to help catch chips when flushing out the tool at the end of the day.
I plan on using a stick-on tape to lay over the existing one. Right now I measure from the blade for exact cuts. I'm currently using 1/8" grout lines, and will switch to 1/16" on a floor project. I prefer tools I can trust the indicated measurements.
For a current tile project, I have to cut Silestone tile, Travertine, and Onyx. The stock blade is fine for the travertine. It *will* work on the Silestone, but keep in mind that tile is 1/2" 93% quartz. This loads the tool, and feed rates are about an inch per 4-5 seconds. I'm sure I will kill this blade before the job is done. The Onyx is almost a disaster. I taped the surface, but through-cuts still caused major chipping. Will try a better blade (MK-62M), and score both sides before through-cutting.
I appreciate this is a 15 amp. tool that I can use in older homes.
As commented, it is loud. Wear ear protection.
