New battery wouldn't charge and didn't seem to fit right. Bad Battery, bad charger, mislabeled replacement or combination? Throw more good money after bad, or just throw it all away? Wish I had done the latter sooner!

Battery arrived in outstanding condition (in its plastic mold shell and within a stuffed box) and also unbelievably fast. I ordered on the 9th and it arrived via UPS the morning of the 11th though your mileage may vary. Battery is in working condition. As for longevity, only time will tell. I'd also like to point out that the battery I received had the firestorm logo and not the big 18V on the product image (unless it's used for clarification purposes). If my review title applies to you, please read on. If not, ignore the rest.
Now, if you're planning on ordering this along with the DeWalt DW9116 charger just be aware that it may not work for you (since it seems that I am the only one so far to find out that it did not work, I will not deem it incompatible based on just my experience alone but you have been WARNED). It could just be the cosmos playing a cruel joke on me and giving me the finger but this battery would not charge in the DW9116 charger that I also ordered from Amazon despite all the other positive reviews for the charger. It did, however, charge in the exact same charger that my brother had from 2007. For a more detailed synopsis of what happened and what I did, please read my review on the DeWalt DW9116 charger. If you do decide to go through and purchase, hopefully you'll have better luck than I had.

I wanted to compare pricing on a replacement battery to the cost of a new drill. I love the B & D drill I have and was told I couldn't get a new battery because the drill was an older model. Thank goodness that wasn't true. The new one came fully charged and works great!

This replacement battery is exactly what I expected. It arrived in a timely manner and was purchased at a fair price.

These are brand new, in the package fire storm batteries, at a great price. If you have problems with a Black & Decker 18v charger, switch over to a Dewalt charger, it works just fine, and is a much better charger. The charger is the weak link to the B & D firestorm drill.
