Amazon.com Product Description
A clean black dial distinguishes this durable, dark-hued Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Coin-Edge Swiss Automatic Watch. A polished stainless steel band joins to a durable stainless steel case that's topped by a black, ion-coated, unidirectional coin-edge bezel that is imprinted with white indexes and Arabic numeral minute indicators in increments of 10. The striking black dial is protected by a scratch-resistant, sapphire-coated window, showcasing luminescent geometric hour indicators that complement luminescent, silver-tone hands. Small white minute markers and a date window at the three o'clock position complete the look of the visually appealing dial. This Swiss-automatic diving watch is water resistant to an impressive 660 feet (200 M) and is presented in a yellow Invicta gift box along with a buffing cloth.

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

4 out of 5 stars Worth the money.   July 13, 2010
VASYL FILCHUKOV (Rego Park, USA)
I bought this watch not long ago, and I've already experienced some minor problems with it. First of all, the bracelet was very cheap made, and I almost lost my watch after wearing it for 2-3 days as it broke apart. The bezel was also cheap and made crackling sounds not like the one in Rolex. The date was not changing smoothly couple of times. After a couple of tests it started changing properly again. I don't know what caused the problem; I will be investigate this matter further.

But in general the look is good and seconds hand runs smoothly same as in Rolex. The watch is accurate but not 100%. Watch connoisseurs say one must wait 4-6 weeks before checking the accuracy. So will see in 4-5 weeks how accurate it is. Out of the box accuracy is +15-18 seconds a day, which is quite normal for the price and for the unadjusted mechanism. Right now I would rate my watch 4 out of 5 (because of the bracelet and the bezel). Worth the money!!! Recommend to buy!!!

4 out of 5 stars Sharp looking watch, cheap clasp & bezel   July 11, 2010

I just received this watch a couple of days ago. It's looks sharp and the case has some heft. The bracelet, clasp, and bezel on the other hand feel cheap. Other reviewers mentioned that the 9937 has an upgraded bracelet, if this thing is upgraded, I'd hate to see the lesser models. Though I must mention that the bracelet is not uncomfortable to wear.

The clasp and bezel is the true disappointment of this $250+ dollar watch. Now mind you I didn't have any expectations that the Invicta would function or feel anywhere close to my TAG. The metal of the clasp feels absolutely cheap in weight and in function. If you do not have fingernails, you are not getting the safety clasp unhinged without subjecting yourself to a degree of pain. I've had better clasps on $30 dollar Timex watches. Both the safety clasp and and the clasp itself are very stiff, and hopefully loosen up with time. The same cheap, firm feel applies to the rotating bezel.

I have not seen the 8926 ($79) but I do own a 6023, which goes for $60-90, and it has the almost the same bracelet/clasp and flame fusion crystal as the 9937. Given that, I'm led to believe the only material difference between the 8926 and the 9937 is the crystal and the movement. Is that worth the price difference?

5 out of 5 stars Great Watch!   July 11, 2010

The Invicta 9937OB is a great watch for a great price. The bracelet is heavy, but not so heavy that it is uncomfortable. The style of the watch looks just like the Rolex Submariner, for which I have had a few people mistake it for. The clasp is secure and the movement is as accurate as you can get for an automatic. I don't think I've lost more than a few seconds of time within a 24-hour time period! The crystal is the "Flame-fusion" crystal, which is an Invicta exclusive. Basically it is a mineral crystal that has been coated with a saphire coating. Very scratch resistant end product. The magnification window over the date allows for easy viewing of the current date. The luminous hands and markers are super bright and last through the night assuming they were exposed to a fairly bright light source throughout the day. This is my first Invicta watch, and I see myself purchasing another one very soon. Great quality at an affordable price!

5 out of 5 stars Glad I took a chance   July 7, 2010

I recently purchased this watch from Amazon.com, and wanted to give my first impressions on it. Let me say it is a lot more solid built than I figured it would be for the price. The case appears bulletproof and the bracelet is no different. I can honestly say this watch does not feel "cheap" in any way. The fact that it has the Swiss movement makes it even more appealing. I was nervous after reading some reviews of this watch, but I'm glad I took the chance. The second hand sweep is much smoother than any of the watches I own with a Japanese automatic movement. If you watch close you can still see it "stutter" around the dial, but so do 90% of the high dollar Swiss made watches. The date magnification is excellent. I can read it even with my arm fully extended. I would have preferred a solid back to an exhibition back for perceived durability, but the back appears just as solid as the rest of the watch. I know that some reviewers have mentioned it's inaccuracy. Please be aware that with any automatic movement there is always a degree of error. So far new out of the box mine is about 10 seconds fast in a 24 hours. To me this is not an issue, but I know some are unsatisfied by it. Please note that any automatic watch will usually run fast the first few weeks while it is being broken in. That is the difference between this and some of the 5K watches, on the more expensive models they do the break in at the factory and then regulate it before sending it out, but how much do you expect for over 4.5K less. If this is an issue to you, either buy a quartz model or wear this one for 2 months and take it to a reputable watch repair center to have it regulated. Just keep in mind that will void the factory warranty. So let's move on to a few other minor issues I have with it. Although the deployment clasp is exactly like every other one with a safety clasp, I would have preferred a double button release. This is due to my fingers being large and the issues it creates with opening the safety clasp. I will say this though it is only personal preference and the safety and deployment clasp work flawlessly. They are extremely tight, and I would have no issues with taking this watch with the included bracelet on a dive. Noting short of intentional working of the clasp will open it. That said I purchased 2 other silicon style bands for use when in the water. The spring bar attachments should make it easy to change back and forth. My only other issue is the bezel. Although the coin-edge looks fantastic compared to other designs, it is not very functional. Trying to turn it with dry, un-gloved hands is tough at best. I can't imagine attempting to work it with wet hands or while wearing a full wet suit with gloves. If you are serious into SCUBA diving, you'll probably rely more on a dive computer anyway vs the turn bezel on the watch, but since it is always good to have a back-up system, it would be nice if it was a bit easier to work. I do appreciate the look though and for a casual everyday watch this complaint can be overlooked.

4 out of 5 stars Great Watch...   June 14, 2010

I recieved the watch a couple of weeks ago. It has kept very accurate time right out of the box. The face is smaller than I expected. However, overall I am very pleased with both the looks and operation of this watch.
