Product Description
Need a good exercise bike but don't have the space to store a commercial-size model? Turn to the Confidence stow-away exercise bike, which folds compactly after use for storage in a closet or corner of your home. Despite its small size, the bike still offers an efficient lower-body cardio workout, with such features as an adjustable magnetic resistance system and nonskid foot pedals. Overall, each workout on the stowaway bike burns four times as many calories as walking. In addition, the bike includes a four-function computer that tracks your riding time, speed, distance, and calories. And thanks to the high-quality frame, the bike will keep you fit for years to come. Other features include an adjustable padded seat, safety straps on the pedals, and a tool kit with all the necessary tools for home assembly. The stowaway bike measures 17.5 by 53 by 22 inches (W x H x D) when folded, 17.5 by 46 by 33 inches when unfolded, and weighs 50 pounds.

4 out of 5 stars Review of X bike   July 24, 2010
Ink Stain (Florida)
I am an active off road cyclist, over 60, ride dirt 30 miles a week, single speed 29er and cyclo cross bike, have a bad back, ride a lot off the seat which is good for my back re hab and fitness. Got this for rainy days. Its compact, does the job, legs only, you will not ride it out of the saddle, got Knee Savers to convert the pedals to regular mountain bike pedals with straps, for more control. I am 5'9" and do not have long legs, but the pedal distance is not set up for long legs. You can use it, even then, but its not as comfortable that way as is a trainer. Its much easier to get on and off than a trainer, not much different in resistance than a magnetic trainer, if you think of it as a one speed. Quiet. I weigh 205, seems solid. I tend to spin very hard for shorter durations at top resistance or it seems pretty low impact. Seat is hard. I made a fat pad out of foam and some old bike shorts. I think if you have a bad lower back, maybe a rowing machine is better, I have ordered one about the same cost as this. My wife likes it better, I tried a lot of more expensive ones at stores. This is as good as most of them for a short workout. Its not even close to riding five miles in dirt with a one speed no matter how long you do it. Real riding is balance and the tension of holding the body off the saddle on the bars, that gets the full body workout. When I get the rowing machine I will review it. Older, low impact, its better than a one mile walk, by FAR if you do it for 10 minutes.

4 out of 5 stars Good for the money!   July 22, 2010

The bike is great, exactly what I wanted.

However, the small bar that locks the bike into a folded position came bent...so it doesn't go through all of the holes...and I cannot find a manual that came with it. Does anyone know a number I could call? Thanks!

1 out of 5 stars TOO HARD TO PEDAL   June 15, 2010

This bike is a real disappointment. I'm 190 lb and work out regularly and like to bike for hours which is impossible to do on this bike since it is very hard to pedal even on the lowest setting. Waste of $$$.

5 out of 5 stars Great for small space   June 4, 2010

Easy to put together. Good for a small person. Great for small spaces. I don't know if the the bike is substantial enough for a very large person.

4 out of 5 stars Space saving bike is very good, but get a gel seat cover!   May 30, 2010
D. B. Cohen (Ocean, NJ USA)
This bike is very convenient for me as I have very little space to store an exercise bike. This bike takes up very little space when "folded" closed. It is fairly easy to put together. My only complaint is the seat is very, very uncomfortable. I purchased a gel seat cover for the bike which helps (but make sure you buy a BIG seat cover - like for a cruiser bike). The bike has several tension settings and should be good for beginners and those who are more advanced. I am 4'10" tall and I can just about reach the pedals. If I was ANY shorter, I would have to buy blocks for the pedals. But I am guessing not too many people who will be using this bike will be shorter than I am. Also, the bike is easy to pick up and move from one place to another (but I guess that may not be the case for everyone - I am not sure how much it weighs, but I think it said 40-50 lbs).
