rubbermaid drain matt February 2, 2010 J. Lindquist (central Nebraska, United States) I had seen some negative reviews on this, such that it didn't have enough slant to drain well, but I found that the board is just great. It is very sturdy and firm, with a good slant. It perfectly fits my large dish drainer/dishrack. I looked everywhere, I thought, and found no better price, until after I bought this one, and found it for almost half the price at Target; same exact product.
Must have... January 27, 2010 D. Dolan (Oakland, CA) This large drain board is a must have if you are using the large dish rack. It does great job of collecting drained water and drain into the sink.
Review more on seller than item January 24, 2010 Waldo (Crestwood, KY United States) Picture shows drain board draing to narrow side. however, item received drains to the wide side. Even tried twice to get it right!
Your packaging, seriously? January 7, 2010 A. Bird (Lake Michigan) It came in a huge box. Not a small box for small things, or a medium sized box for slightly larger things. It came in a box bigger then the packaging for a $1800 Apple 30" cinema display with stand. A bigger box then that. Packaged with a slip and two small inflated bits of packaging.
Amazon, you shipped this directly. You can do better then this, really, you can. Just put your mind to it. If it wasn't super-saver shipping I would have paid an extra $12 for the bulky packaging with UPS, and then where would I be? It's not fair if the shipping costs more then the product, if that's the case I'll go to Wal-Mart.
Otherwise, the product is exactly as advertised. It's a rubber pad with stiff sides people, not rocket science. I'd love to know how this qualifies as microbial, but for $12, I don't care as long as it doesn't leak.
Doesn't really do what you'd expect... January 5, 2010 Lawrence Sullivan (boston, ma) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As other reviewers have noted, the big drawback of this drain board is that it doesn't drain... The plastic bows down in the middle causing water to pool there. A little more tilt would let the water drain fine, odd that the designers didn't pick up on this. It also lacks gripping power underneath so you're constantly having to readjust it so the drain edge is over the sink. Poorly designed product.
