handles to loose August 8, 2010 Saturn Girl like everything about it except the handles are way to LOOSE....When storing the item the handles keep siding out
Good Strainer August 5, 2010 JSlot (Summerville, SC USA) This colander works exactly as described and is well built. The holes are small and round, so water drains slowly, but not prohibitively so. If the holes were larger or slotted, this would definitely get 5 stars!
Very cool colander and I love mine! July 19, 2010 Navy Wife M I have had mine for over a year now and love it. I have had no problems with it what so ever. In fact, people who have been to my house and seen me use mine was amazed by it. They went out and purchased one for themselves after I told them how great it was. It's nice not to have to hold the colander still while draining your hot foods into it. I don't ever burn myself anymore or accidently dump my hot food into the sink. It can be a little tough to clean, but no tougher than the others. The hands free concept is genius and I suggest everyone own one!
After 4 months the colander is in perfect condition June 23, 2010 Veronica (Chevy Chase, MD) I was very surprised to see Ms. McDowell's video review in which she points out that, after only three to four weeks of use, "the seams" of the colander "ripped apart" "from expanding" or "poking" the colander"in and out," rendering the colander "virtually unusable" because the spaghetti "comes out." After seeing the alarming video review, I very carefully checked my colander, which I have been using almost daily for more than three months, and did not find any imperfections (much less rips or tears) in any part of the colander. (Perhaps Ms. McDowell has been pouring a lot of boiling water into the colander. I don't know what impact that would have on the colander, because I use a stainless steel colander for draining pasta.) I love and highly recommend this colander because it's useful, versatile, and can be easily cleaned and stored.
Colander fits in the drawer! June 1, 2010 W. Carlson (Boston, MA) We have very limited drawer space in our kitchen, but this collapsible colander fits very nicely in the drawer under the oven. With its expandable side arms, it also fits to our sink rim. The colander appears to be rugged enough to last a long time, although only time will tell for sure. We're very happy with this purchase!
