Best available February 3, 2010 B. L. Johannes (Nashua, New Hampshire United States) This is the best sink strainer on the market. It is heavy weight with a good
size lip. The drain holes are the right size to collect food bits but small
enough to provide good draining. And unlike its mesh counterparts, this strainer
is very solid and easy to clean. Well worth the extra money. A great buy.
Outstanding Product! December 2, 2009 Michael Paul Sebek (Georgia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The best product of its kind I have ever seen. Extremely durable - built to last for years using quality materials. A PERFECT strainer for our application in a sink bowl over an INSINKERATOR garbage disposer. This item has earned my highest recommendation: BUY IT. You won't be disappointed.
Best Strainer October 14, 2009 Reviewer 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Fine mesh strainers always clogged the sink, but the larger holes and thicker, more durable construction of the RSVP stainless steel strainers are easy to clean and strain quickly. You can hand wash the strainer or place it in the dishwasher for effective cleaning, something that cannot be accomplished with a fine mesh strainer that requires rigorous scrubbing. Fine mesh strainers which slow the water flow through the kitchen pipes may hasten the accumulation of mold/mildew, oils, and debris. However, the RSVP strainer allows a faster flow of water while straining out larger particles, keeping your pipes cleaner. I purchased many of these and highly recommend this great product!
Very well built, easy to clean September 14, 2009 Comdet 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've used mesh strainers in my sinks in the past and have never been pleased with them -- the mesh gets clogged up easily, and it's a real pain to get it clean. A clogged strainer slows down the water flow which is a problem when you're draining something such as a big pot of pasta.
This is made of perforated stainless which is a world easier to clean -- just rinse or, if it gets really grungy, toss into the dishwasher. It's very thick, holds its shape well, and does not rust. Basically, the last strainer you'll need to buy! Costs more than a typical wire strainer, but works a LOT better. Highly recommend!
