Having experience with the commercial and residential models of the Keurig coffee makers, the Breville K-cup is the best I have used. I would highly recommend this coffee maker to anyone who appreciates a quality product with great looks. I have it setting next to my Breville espresso maker and they look great together.

I had the model before this one with the ice coffee, and it worked well for a year. When it broke I called for assistance and customer service was both very difficult to reach and of no help at all. They promised to call back and never did. I have 2 family members whose Keuring machines are still going strong and are much older than my Breville, and for which I paid almost twice as much (as the Keuring). I agree with the information given in all the negative reviews on this machine. I would never buy any Breville product again, and certainly not this over- priced coffee maker. Save your money and go with a Keurig. I am a frequent Amazon shopper, and this is the first time I ever wrote a one star review. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

We had a Keurig B60 that we gave to our niece for her college apartment when we bought the Breville. The Keurig never missed a beat, while the Breville stopped working properly in three months. Save yourself some money and buy the less expensive Keurig and forget this junk.
How to fix the "partial cup" problem July 27, 2010

Several reviewers have given this coffeemaker low marks because it "stopped working" after just a few uses. I thought that I was going to be in that group, because after delivering three perfect cups, the coffeemaker started dispensing slow drips of coffee rather than mugs of coffee. Eventually, the coffeemaker started indicating that it could only make "travel size" (largest) cups, perhaps because the reservoir where the water is heated was full. So, I tried to make several enormous mugs with the K-Cup holder empty, but it still filled the mug with only a small fraction of what was required.
Then I did something that no red-blooded American male would do unless forced: I read the manual.
The recommendation was that I clean the K-Cup holder after extracting it from the machine, and particularly that I clean the needle in the holder. I first checked whether I could see light through the needle; no such luck. It was completely clogged after only three uses. In addition, the needle was not perfectly round at the tip; it seemed to be pinched a bit (manufacturing defect?) So I used a strong sewing needle (a bent paper clip is also suggested) to force some sort of deposit from the needle. What came out could have been coffee, or it could have been something left over from manufacturing. In addition, the needle became round, not pinched. Suddenly, I could see light through the needle, and the machine is back to making perfect cups of coffee.
If this has to be done every few cups, I'll send it back to Breville. I suspect, however, that this was a one-time occurrence.

I bought this from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. And I question whether or not it was 'factory refubished'.
This is my first K-Cup brewer. It worked fine for a week or two. And it works 90% of the time. But, sometimes, when I hit "brew", it just sits there for it's cycle (a minute or two) and doesn't do anything. Then it goes back to "open head". I open it just enough for the sensor to sense that it's open, close, and repeat until it brews my darn cup of joe.
I found that a firm slap to the side of it will get it moving. Either the jolt frees up some sort of vacuum in the lines problem, or just gets the pump moving.
I'm not one to mess with warranties and blah blah blah. I'll use this thing till it dies. But it'd take a might impressive ad to get me to buy a Breville product again.
I've gotten used to this, as it's been a good six months now, and I (along with my employees) use it multiple times per day. But this brewer definately has issues. And I really can't recommend it to anyone. Regardless of how pretty it looks, do yourself a favor and buy the cheaper one. Definately not what I expected from the most expensive K-Cup brewer I could find.
