Countertop Water-Filtration System User March 14, 2010 Animal Lover (Woodbridge, VA) We enjoy the Cuisinart WCH-1500 system. The water tastes great and it was easy to set up. We no longer have to buy the 5 gallon jugs. The only complaint we have is that the machine is loud when turned on. We only turn on the cold or hot when we are going to use it. The machine does heat or cool the water in a short period of time. We just shut it off when we know we won't be using it much and just drink the room temperature water.
started well but... dissappointed now March 5, 2010 J. Raden purchased this for use in my office. 1-2 gal/wk for 6 months. Worked well for 6 months. As said in other reviews, loud when heating/cooling, takes a while to warm up, doesn't get super hot. Water comes out very very slow, but as long as you are patient its ok.
After 6 months of use, I opened up the unit to clean it out (even after filtering there was residue in the bottom of the reservoir) and found the spring in the hole between the reservoir and the dispenser had rusted. That rust was coming through the dispenser.
Have not heard back from manufacturer but thinking will end up writing it off.
Super Value!!! February 14, 2010 M. Hess (California) I am so tired of my empty water bottle collection. I have 5 35 gallon bags of empty bottles in my back yard!! This takes care of it, and it does it with style. Love the look, and the cost of the filters is so nice. My old Britta faucet purifier can't compare. Never fear, buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice unit, but leaks February 4, 2010 L. Gowins (OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really like this unit, but when I dispense the cold or room temperature water, it dribbles. Why they would make a water cooler without a drip-tray is beyond me. Other than that, I have had no problems with the unit, it's not THAT loud and the water tastes great.
Love it! January 27, 2010 Chica (Florida, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Love this! Better than expected - based on internet research of customer reviews that was done before purchase. Find we are drinking LOTS, LOTS more water with this on the counter. Hot and Cold options are a major plus, as is the energy conservation options. Huge step up from pitcher filter. Taste of water is perfect - not plastic, and we do not find it loud... Easy to set up and maintain. It's perfect for three but we could see usefulness more limited if you are trying to maintain/use it for a large family.
