just the right density for comfort/protection February 14, 2010 D. Wiese (MN,TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
a good kneeling pad is hard to find, and this one is great! it is just the right density to make me knees comfortable and yet protect them from the hard ground. or bathroom floor.....or whatever. You will be happy with this one.
Thick cushioning to protect knees February 11, 2010 Patricia (NJ, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The 1-1/4" thickness of this pad provides a great cushion for anyone with knee problems. After a knee injury, kneeling was very difficult for me but hard to avoid at times, so I started using a 1" thick gardening pad I'd already had. After buying the Black & Decker pad, I found the extra 1/4" thickness made this pad much easier to kneel on. The difference in cushioning vs my 1" pad was enough for me to buy 2 more of these to keep around the house so I'm not ever tempted to kneel without one. I've also used 2 of these side by side when I need a bigger kneeling platform. The cover is easily cleanable which is a plus.
nice cushion but very small January 13, 2010 Clothesmakemehappy (San Diego, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
purchased this to cushion my knees while i bathe my kids...it's very nice and thick and does the job but with a few caveats. it's rather narrow, i'm an average size woman and it would have been nice if it were wider to also cushion my shins. also the material is very shiny and smooth so it's not non-slip...it would have been good to have some grip so you don't slide around.
other that those two things...very good for the price but in retrospect would pay more for a bigger, non-slip one.
Great knee pad for the pro or any do-it-yourselfer October 24, 2009 Windy in Casper 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you have to work on your knees this is the knee pad you can't live without. I've tried a dozen knee pads and they all fall short of this pad by Black & Decker. I've had two knee surgeries and thought I'd never be able to kneel down to do any work again. This knee pad made a big difference!
This is a truly first rate knee pad. The resilient foam is thick enough to protect your knees from uneven ground, pebbles and the frequent nut, bolt, screw or washer. It has an easy to clean surface and is durable. I've bought several of these and try to have an extra one on-hand for a two person job. I more often end up giving one away to my helpers who say it's the best knee pad they have ever used. It also makes a great seat cushion/pad for stadium bleachers. My only complaint is that I wish they made these in a larger size - about double. I haven't found any that are as good or better.
A knee-saver September 20, 2009 SuperDuo (Houston, TX) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this kneeling pad for kneeling alongside the bathtub when washing our small dogs. It's a 20-25 minute job in total, and kneeling on towels or bath mats with our already sore knees makes that time really uncomfortable. This kneeling pad made the job as comfortable as I could ask for. The cushion feels great - it's more of a solid gel feel than just foam. It wasn't any worse for wear after being splashed. The water sat right on top of the surface until I dried it off afterward. I don't know if it's waterproof, but it is certainly water resistant. The kneeling space is just the right size. I wouldn't mind if it was a few inches bigger, but my husband fit on it fine and he is no dainty creature. I'm glad I found it, and I'd buy it again if I had it to do over.
