Finally, a mouse trap that works! February 16, 2010 M. Sokalski I went to my local home depot/lowes to find a GOOD mousetrap after trying several with almost no results. I started using my smartphone to check Amazon's product ratings on the mousetraps there and this product was the only one with a great rating, so I picked up as many as I could. I filled the bait wells with peanut butter and placed them on a Saturday evening, and on Monday I caught three mice--two of them from the same trap! Over the course of a week or two I caught at least 2 or three more mice, and now my wife and I believe our house is finally mouse free!
Worked...at first February 8, 2010 Maven NYC (New York, NY USA) Very easy to set compared with the old variety. Convenient no muss disposal. But before long, the mice in our country place figured them out, got the peanut butter, even when 2 were set at right angles in corner of drawer, and left me a thank you! Most shocking was the one that had the handle bitten through! Maybe not a mouse?
The "Better Mouse Trap" January 26, 2010 JimElyriaOh (Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a couple of these the other day. I've used many different mouse traps in the past, since the little devils always find their way into the basement somehow, especially when it gets cold. I put one in the basement and one in the garage. (I put them in the garage to "head'em off at the pass".) When I looked in the garage today, I got one, a big'un! First day!
I've used another brand of mouse trap that you press and set (the brand begins with a "D") that didn't work so well. These traps are much more compact and are very vicious with teeth that really grabs them and don't let go, with a spring strong enough to easily do the job (I lost all pity for them a long time ago.) And they're very easy to set. I can't say the same for that other brand. I've tested them by hitting the "trigger" with a piece of paper, and they are very sensitive.
I went out and bought two more today. So far, so good.
Happy hunting!
100% effective! January 25, 2010 kool_k 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
1st day - 1 mouse.
2nd day - another mouse.
Problem solved.
Besides the effectiveness, it did not leave any mess. It was easy to release the trap and drop the dead mouse into garbage bag.
Note : this is an open design. If you have kids / pets, look for another product from same brand, but with cover.
A better mouse trap??? January 14, 2010 Lucas J. Tyssowski (Finksburg, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
You bet! I tried most of the non-poisonous mouse traps available locally. This is hands down the best mechanical mouse trap I've tried. It's super easy to set and won't go off too easily (like when you place it down on the floor). These traps are sturdy and should last a long time. I caught a handful of mice in a couple days using several of these and just a hint of peanut butter. The mice are DEAD and look like they died fast. Problem solved.
