Amazon, shoddy service December 22, 2009 Choicekiwi 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We got this mower as a way to save money until we can afford the beast that we really want. My husband was very skeptical about my purchase, so we have a deal that I will mow the lawns until we are able to get the upgrade, I think in an attempt that I will cave and let him go get financing.
We got the mower and it was taped up alot, I opened it and found the little baggie with all the hardware had been opened. I thought perhaps the blade had cut it, but their were some missing parts. No big deal $2.50 at the store and we were good to go. Also the instruction booklet had been opened. The height adjuster is plastic and had been stripped. I tried to find a number to call Amazon to get some help, but there is none. Our lawn was in desperate need so I used it. Although we have 30 days to return it, I cannot do it as I have used it, and I realize Amazon would just pacakage it up and send it to another sucker. As it is a temporary mower for us, we will keep it, but our conclusion is that it had been bought by someone else, returned and then reshipped to us without being checked out. We tried to call Scotts to get a replacement plastic piece, but we would need to pay to get it shipped to them and then back to us. Not a money saver at all. Hubby was able to rig it so mower is on the lowest setting and we were off.
Despite all the little issues, I like it. We live in Florida, in a rural area and we love it. Our lawn is less than flat due to the dogs that the previous owner had. Some weeds need to be mowed over a few times and if that is too much of a pain I pick the weed and are done with it. It has been a few weeks and my lawn looks heathier. I do get some odd looks from people as they drive by, but who cares? I feel less worn out after using this mower and feel safe letting my kids outside while using it as they are not going to get whacked by any flying sticks or stones like a convetional mower would let out.
So far so good November 8, 2009 Ann Onymous (Alabama, USA) We haven't had this long and have just used it a couple of times, but we really like it. We have just used it for a small area recently sodded in zoysia, but it cuts that very smoothly. . . . and, unlike our power mower, it always starts! I'll try to remember to report again next summer.
This is actually fun October 4, 2009 Brandon Ching (Phoenix, AZ USA) People kept telling me that gas or electric was the way to go. NO! I actually enjoy cutting my lawn now. I have a small lawn, maybe 100 sqft, and I can go outside and cut whenever I want thank to this thing being super quiet. No gas to fill, no noise, no smell. It pushes easy and there is a certain sense of satisfaction you get when you know your manual efforts are resulting in something you directly tangible. I would highly recommend this simply for the sense of satisfaction and peace of mind.
The product itself is solid. Good quality, low maintenance, and looks nice. Save the planet, your ears, and get some exercise!
Great mower September 30, 2009 R (NY, USA) This is a great mower. It is not too heavy so my wife can use it too. There is no gas needed so it is the ultimate environment friendly product and you can use it even in midnight since there is no engine noise.

Just what the doctor ordered. Easy to put together. Easy to use. Works well up hill and down and gives me the exercise I need. No loud moter, smell or wires.
Highly recommend.
Don't pay extra for shipping. Amazon's cheapest shipping is fast.
