Great high speed electric blower vacuum January 30, 2010 Shelby Hendren (Clayton, NC United States) This blower meets all recomendations and exceeds them, it is easy to use, it has two speeds which is good for the garage and the outside. It always starts anyou do not need gas to run it.
Toro Super 12 Amp blower/vacuum December 22, 2009 Andrea Brandt The Toro blower/vacuum is a great item to have to clean up the leaves in the yard. I had never owned one and bought one after seeing our neighbors use similar blowers. The blower/vacuum really cuts down on time and makes it easy to pile up leaves and then suck them up. I wouldn't go without one. This particular model seems to be well-built and can handle any workload.
Fine Machine for Light leaves December 6, 2009 Robert G. Ellis (Jerome, Idaho USA) I have used WeedEater brands in the past, but the metal impeller blades in the Toro make previously used leaf blowers/vacuums absolutely obsolete! This machine does a fine job of picking up leaves IF they are dry and have not yet been compacted by weathering. If you wait too long to use it, you have a challenge on your hands, but that applies to ALL leaf blowers/vacuums. For the money, I have found the machine of my dreams. No more WeedEaters with plastic impellers for me (two previously owned and destroyed by small stones/sticks). This is a winner!
The Toro 2-Speed Electric Blower/Vacuum is Indeed "Super" December 1, 2009 Richard A. Lawhern (Fort Mill, SC USA) The Toro 2-Speed Electric Blower/Vacuum is Indeed "Super". I bought our first unit about two years ago, and went back for a replacement when it swallowed a metal bolt from the ground and chewed up its motor armature. My bad. Like other portable electric leaf mulchers, it's not a perfect solution. I get very little use from the lower speed setting, and the collection bag can get heavy when leaves are wet. Limited to 12 amps, it cannot match the power delivered by a gasoline-powered backpack unit -- but that's okay. It also costs much less.
Well thought out design and manufacture, and a pleasure to use under most conditions. Far superior to a wheeled mulching machine we bought that cost three times as much but proved to have inadequate throat size on the intake.
Great Blower/Mulcher November 30, 2009 MoonBaby (California) I just purchased this product for a vacation home in the mountains that has tons of leaves. Both the blower and mulcher work great...even on the pine needles and occasional acorn. Some folks may just have bad luck with the mulcher or go crazy mulching. Most things plastic aren't going to take indefinite abuse. Careful consideration of what's being mulched should extend the life of this product. The only drawback for me is that they never make products like this for short people. I'm female and 5 ft. 3 in. so I have to shrug my shoulders so the blower/mulcher doesn't drag on the ground but we short people get creative. I wouldn't suck up tree branches, but it does a great job for my needs.
