We had another similar spray attachment that broke after a long life - it may even have been the same brand, but I don't remember.
Two big improvements with this one:
1. The sprayer is much more comfortable to hold. With our old one, the sprayer was like a standard old kitchen sink sprayer. By the time we finished bathing two big dogs, my thumb was tired! This one is much more ergonomic.
2. The 8-foot hose length makes a big difference. Our old 6-foot hose wasn't quite long enough to easily reach the hindquarters of a -- well, reluctant German shepherd.

I was extremely excited about the Rinse Ace Deluxe, when I saw it in the pet store. I was so tired of the buckets and standing on my head. It made bathing the dog a breeze. Unfortunately I have encountered the same problem with the cracked head. I too, would like to be able to keep the shower head on without having to hold the button down. I will check out the versions in the store now and see if there is a way to keep the head locked open. Any chance of just being able to purchase the head as a replacement?

Mine broke the first time we tried to use it. Cracked and leaked around shower attachment end. The company has replacement parts on their website but I have no reason to believe it won't happen again so I'm not going for it.

The Rinse Ace Pet Shower has made bath time so much easier. The hose is long enough and the button on the sprayer enables me to get our dog's bath done quicker since I now don't have to shut the water off in between sudsing and rinsing! I have already recommended it to friends and family and will continue to do so!!

In reading the product reviews I found that the major complaint seemed to stem from the stock plastic connecting valve. However, as was mentioned by a previous reviewer it is possible to purchase a genuine metal connector directly from the company. While it costs a few extra dollars the potential headache you can avoid makes it well worth the price. Product has worked seamlessly for me since day one.
